Three family members
Gunsmoke began as a family affair, formed by Nick DeMaio III, who plays bass and sings lead vocals, and his younger brother Jeff, who plays pedal steel guitar and sings. “Their love for the music they were raised on is so evident,” according to publicity material.
Their father, country music veteran Nick DeMaio Sr., guitarist and singer, is known as “The Ambassador” and also performs with the band.
