A Fairfield man was arrested Monday on charges of two counts of sex assault in the first degree, two counts of risk of injury to a minor and violation of a protective order.
According to Shelton Police, Kerry McGuire, 38, of Oakwood Drive, was arrested after a six-week investigation. Police said the charges stem from an assault on a 14-year-old.
McGuire was held on a $150,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday. The investigation is continuing.
