Lucille F. Skowronski Kopchik, 93, of Ansonia, peacefully entered into eternal rest on October 27, 2012, at Mt. Ascutney Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility in Windsor, Vermont. She was predeceased by her husband John A. Kopchik Sr.
Mrs. Kopchik was born in Ansonia on December 3, 1918, daughter of the late Chester and Michaelina Niezelski Osiecki. A lifelong resident of Ansonia, she was devoted to her family.
Lucille was a devoted communicant of St. Joseph Church in Ansonia and a member of the Polish Falcons. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, and crocheting.
She is survived by two loving daughters, Eileen F. Skowronski and Lorraine Skowronski-Boggis and her husband Edward all of Claremont, NH, a sister, Stacia Balko of Derby, step-son, John A. Kopchik Jr. and his wife Josephine of Shelton, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Michael Skowronski, brothers, Theodore, Phillip, and Daniel Osiecki and Bernard O’Sheske.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Friday November 2, 2012, at 10:15 am from the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Church, 32 Jewett Street in Ansonia. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery in Derby. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4-7 pm.
