Center Stage Theatre to produce first childrens production in June

Center Stage Theatre is branching out and will now produce theatrical productions for children. The Shelton theater’s first production will be “Elephant & Piggie’s: We Are in a Play!” which will be presented the first three Saturdays in June at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Center Stage has assembled some of its most talented college students to bring this play to life.The production will star Josh Hahn of Derby as Elephant and Kathryn Twohill of Shelton as Piggie, with the Squirelles played by Andrianna Ayala of Orange, Ali Dunne of Derby, and Cecilia DeBroff of Trumbull.

After each performance, children will have the opportunity to meet the cast and get their autographs. The theater will have copies of the book “Elephant & Piggie” for sale or patrons can bring your own, and the cast will gladly sign copies.

The production is directed by Francesca Scarpa and choreographed by Katherine Sedlock and will play on June 3, 10, and 17 at 1 and 4 p.m. at the theater located at 54 Grove Street in Shelton. Tickets are $15. For more information, visit www.centerstageshelton.org or call 203-225-6079.
