Obituary: Ignatius M. Spiteri, 86, of Derby

Ignatius M. Spiteri, 86, of Derby, employed as a printer at Griffin Hospital, husband of Margaret Lovisolo Spiteri, died July 5, at Griffin Hospital.

Born in Ansonia on Dec. 2, 1930, son of the late Antonio and Angelina Palumbo Spiteri.

Survived by sons, Ronald A. Spiteri (Cindy) of Shelton and Robert A. Spiteri (Margaret) of Midland, Va., daughter, Margaret Pitney (Carmen Jr.) of Ansonia, sisters, Rosemary Nicolo of Wolcott and Carmela Cosimano of California, seven grandchildren, a great-grandson, and many nieces and nephews.

Also predeceased by sisters, Mary Golino and Angelica DeLaurentis.

Visiting hours: Friday July 7, 4-7 p.m., Spinelli-Ricciuti/Bednar-Osiecki Funeral Home, 62 Beaver Street, Ansonia. On Saturday, his funeral will commence at 9:15 a.m., from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary Church in Derby. Entombment will follow in Mt. St. Peter Garden Mausoleum in Derby.
