Today, Aug. 4 is the final Downtown Sounds: Summer Concerts & Food Trucks.
Presented by Celebrate Shelton and Liberty Bank, the third annual Downtown Sounds Summer Concerts & Food Trucks will come to a close at Veterans Memorial Park in downtown Shelton on Friday, Aug. 4 from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.
The concerts are free to attend, though there is a suggested contribution of $5 to sustain Celebrate Shelton’s efforts. This year, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Lower Naugatuck Valley Boys & Girls Club located in Shelton.
“Each night offers live music, food trucks, handmade artisans, and a beer garden sponsored by New Belgium. This week we will be giving out free ice creams to the first 500 individuals generously sponsored by Liberty Bank and Tipsy Cones,” said Nicole Heriot-Mikula, co-creator of Celebrate Shelton.
“This week, we will kick off the evening with a Kids Hour with bringtheHoopla. Then, at 6 p.m. there will be live music from Creamery Station and Hubinger Street,” said Michael Skrtic co-creator of Celebrate Shelton.
