Griffin gets help from Komen

Daun Barrett, left, director of community outreach and Valley Parish Nurses at Griffin Hospital meets with Denise Rivera Coladonato, grants coordinator at Susan G. Komen for the Cure Connecticut, at the Center for Cancer Care at Griffin during a site visit. Earlier this year, Griffin received $50,000 from Komen to provide breast wellness outreach and education in the Greater Naugatuck Valley area, and to provide free screening mammograms to women who otherwise would not be able to afford one.
