SCC girls soccer: Shelton defeats Guilford

The Shelton High girls soccer team defeated Guilford High, 2-0, in an SCC quarterfinal match on Saturday.

Coach Marvin Miller’s fourth-seeded Gaelettes (12-3-2) will visit top-seeded Daniel Hand in Monday’s 6 p.m. semifinal in Madison.

Zoe Rogers and Kelly Hurd had the Shelton goals, each coming in the second half.

Esabel Rosa and Erin Keary had assists.

Courtney Litts (2 saves) and Arianna Malick combined on the shutout.

Meghan Langdon had three stops for fifth-seeded Guilford (8-4-5).
