On Oct. 30 at 6:52 a.m. the Huntington Co. #3 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a report of a power line down on a school bus at Soundview Avenue and Willoughby Road. Firefighters responded and found the wire was not a power line but a cable tv line. Two engines responded.

 

On Oct. 30 at 10:54 a.m. the Huntington Co. #3 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a fire alarm sounding at the Saint Lawrence Church Rectory at #505 Shelton Avenue. There was no fire. an engine and a ladder truck responded.

 

On Oct. 30 at 3:04 p.m. the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded to a motor vehicle accident on Shelton Avenue at Meadow Street. An engine responded.

 

On Oct. 31 at 12:11 a.m. the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to an electrical problem at #4 Sixth Avenue. An engine and a utility truck responded.

 

On Oct. 31 at 2:10 a.m. the White Hills Co. #5 responded to #151 Longfellow Road for a carbon monoxide detector sounding. A faulty detector caused the alarm. An engine responded.

 

On Oct. 31 at 02:17 a.m. the Echo Hose Co. #1, White Hills Co. #5 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to mutual aid call to #19 Derby Avenue in the city of Derby to assist at a structure fire. An engine and two ladder trucks responded.

 

On Oct. 31 at 1:29 p.m. the Echo Hose Co. #1, Pine Rock Co. #4 and the Huntington Co. #3 responded to #34 Greystone Condo’s for an odor of smoke in the home. There was no fire. A problem with a clothes dryer was the cause of the odor. An engine and a ladder truck responded.

 

On Oct. 31 at 1:47 p.m. the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a report of a wire down in the road on Woodsend Avenue. A ladder truck responded.

 

On Nov. 1 at 7:58 a.m. the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at #579 Howe Avenue. There was no fire. the cause of the alarm was not reported. A rescue truck responded.

 

On Nov. 1 at 1:52 p.m. the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to an odor of natural gas at #630 Howe Avenue. No odor was found by firefighters. An engine and a rescue truck responded.

 

On Nov. 1 at 3:16 p.m. the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Huntington Co. #3 responded to a fire alarm sounding at the Shelton Lakes Health Care Center at #5 Lake Road. There was no fire. an engine and a ladder truck responded.

 

On Nov. 1 at 3:34 p.m. the Pine Rock Co. #4, Echo Hose Co. #1, Huntington Co. #3 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a shed fire in the rear of #6 Cold Spring Circle. The fire, in a small tool shed, was under control by the homeowner when firefighters arrived. The fire caused significant damage as a result. Two engines and a ladder truck responded.

 

On Nov. 1 at 11:02 pm the Pine Rock Co. #4 and the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded to a fire alarm sounding at #113 Yutaka Trail. There was no fire. Smoke from cooking caused the alarm. Two engines responded.

 

On Nov. 2 at 7:30 a.m. the Huntington Co. #3 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to #35 Elderberry Lane for a fire alarm sounding. There was no fire. An engine and a ladder truck responded.

 

On Nov. 2 at 7:51 a.m. the Huntington Co. #3 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded back to #35 Elderberry Lane for a fire alarm sounding. There was no fire. An engine and a ladder truck responded.

 

On Nov. 2at 2:54 p.m. the Huntington Co. #3 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a car fire at the corner of Mohegan Road and Moose Hill Road. An engine responded.

 

On Nov. 3 at 11:13 a.m. the Huntington Co. #3, Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to a fire alarm sounding at #8 Progress Drive. There was no fire. an engine and a ladder truck responded.

 

On Nov. 3 at 12:44 p.m. the Huntington Co. #3, Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to #220 Buddington Road for a fire alarm sounding. There was no fire. Smoke from cooking caused the alarm. An engine and a ladder truck responded.

 

On Nov. 4 at 7:37 a.m. the Huntington Co. #3, Echo Hose Co. #1 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a fire alarm sounding at #100 Trap Falls Road. There was no fire. An engine and a ladder truck responded.

 

On Nov. 4 at 1:02 p.m. the Huntington Co. #3 responded to a fire alarm sounding at #100 Trap Falls Road. There was no fire. An engine responded.

 

On Nov. 4 at 1:46 p.m. the Huntington Co. #3 responded to #36 Country Ridge Drive to assist EMS with a patient. A rescue truck responded.

 

On Nov. 5 at 6:42 a.m. the Huntington Co. #3 responded to a motor vehicle accident on Poplar Drive. An engine and a utility truck responded.

 

On Nov. 5 at 10:16 a.m. the Echo Hose Co. #1, Pine Rock Co. #4 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a fire in the basement at #25 Chestnut Street. Upon arrival firefighters found a fire in a clothes dryer in the basement. The fire spread to the ceiling before being extinguished by firefighters. Damage was confined to the basement dryer area. Two engines, a rescue truck and a ladder truck responded.

 

On Nov. 5 at 12:45 p.m. the Huntington Co. #3 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to #38 Canfield Drive for a fire alarm sounding. There was no fire. An engine responded.

 

On Nov. 5 at 12:53 p.m. the Echo Hose Co. #1, Huntington Co. #3 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Shelton Avenue and Pine Street. An engine and a ladder truck responded.

 

On Nov. 5 at 4:23 p.m. the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to a fire alarm sounding at the Center Stage #54 Grove Street. There was no fire. A fog machine set activated the alarm. An engine responded.

 

On Nov. 5 at 8:54 p.m. the Huntington Co. #3 responded to #58 Tuckahoe Drive for a carbon monoxide detector sounding. An engine responded.

 

On Nov. 5 at 11:44 p.m. the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to #4 Kingwood Manor for a carbon monoxide detector sounding. A rescue truck responded.

 

On Nov. 6 at 12:20 a.m. the Huntington Co. #3 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to #535 Booth Hill Road for a fire alarm sounding. There was no fire. Two engines and a ladder truck responded.
