The Shelton Land Conservation Trust Inc. invites all to join them for its annual event welcoming the Holiday Season by trimming the Spruce tree that borders the Shelton Recreation Path on our Lane Street parcel on Sunday, Dec. 3 at 1 p.m.
The event will take place on Lane St. near the intersection of Church St. and Huntington St. near the Huntington Fire Hose in Shelton.
Leashed dogs are also welcome and the event will be stroller accessible. In the case of inclement weather, a rain date for the event will take place the following week, Dec. 10 at 1 p.m.
Some decorations will be supplied by the Land Trust, but the group encourages those planning to attend to bring their homemade or purchased decorations that are bird and small animal edible and eco-friendly. Appropriate suggestions include: suet, popcorn balls, strung popcorn or cranberries, pine cones rolled in peanut butter and bird seed or anything you can come up with using dried fruit, seeds, nuts, berries, etc.
