Center Stage to host cabaret weekend Jan. 26, 27

Center Stage Theatre will feature a cabaret weekend on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 26 and 27 at 8 p.m., featuring professional performers, Mia Scarpa and James DuChateau. The program is called “Singing, Dancing, & Laughing through Life” and will feature classic songs from Broadway.

 

Scarpa and DuChateau met in a professional production of Hello Dolly at Muhlenberg Summer Theater in Pennsylvania and became close friends. Both professional performers, Scarpa recently appeared in The Bridges of Madison County at Music Theatre of CT in Norwalk, and DuChateau in La Cage Aux Folles at the Axelrod Performing Arts Center in New Jersey.

 

Center Stage, Shelton’s non-profit theater, produces five full scale plays as well as various musical cabaret events each year. Coming next to Center Stage is “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”, which opens on Feb. 9.

 

Admission for “Singing, Dancing, & Laughing through Life” is $ 15 per person, and cabarets are “bring your own refreshment” events at Center Stage. The theater is located at 54 Grove Street. To make a reservation, call 203-225-6079.
