On April 30 at 9:50 a.m. the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a fire alarm sounding at the Shelton Senior Center at #81 Wheeler Street. There was no fire. The alarm was activated accidentally during a test. An engine responded.

 

On April 30 at 7:16 p.m. the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to an activated fire alarm sounding at the Helen DeVaux Housing Complex at #91 Howe Avenue. There was no fire. Smoke from cooking caused the alarm. An engine responded.

 

On May 1 at 7:06 a.m. the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to #80 Technology Drive for a water leak in the building. an engine responded.

 

On May 1 at 7:43 a.m. the Huntington Co. #3, Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to the Mark Apartments at #7 Acadia Lane for an odor of natural gas in a building. An engine, a rescue truck and a ladder truck responded.

 

On May 1 at 1:16 p.m. the Huntington Co. #3, Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to the Mark Apartments at #7 Acadia Lane for an odor of natural gas in a building. Two engines, a tower truck and a ladder truck responded.

 

On May 1 at 1:52 p.m. the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a fire alarm activation at the Birmingham Health Care Complex at #579 Howe Avenue. There was no fire. Smoke from cooking caused the alarm. An engine responded.

 

On May 1 at 2:46 p.m. the Huntington Co. #3 and the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded to a brush fire in the area of Mark Apartments at #7 Acadia Lane. Two engines responded.

 

On May 1 at 4:28 p.m. the White Hills Co. #5 and the Huntington Co. #3 responded to a brush fire on Stendahl Drive. An engine responded.

 

On May 1 at 5:12 p.m. the Huntington Co. #3, Echo Hose Co. #1 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a motor vehicle accident on Huntington Street at Shelton Road. An engine and a rescue truck responded.

 

On May 2 at 3:34 p.m. the Huntington Co. #3 and the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded to a motor vehicle accident on route 8 northbound near exit 13. An engine and two rescue trucks responded.

 

On May 2 at 4:09 p.m. the Huntington Co. #3 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a fire alarm at #11 Eagle Drive. There was no fire. Two engines responded.

 

On May 2 at 5:10 p.m. the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to a brush fire at #3 High Plains Road. An engine responded.

 

On May 3 at 12:45 p.m. the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to Sanford Drive for a low hanging wire over the road. An engine responded.

 

On May 3 at 1:58 p.m. the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to a small mulch fire at the Big Y Plaza at #401 Bridgeport Avenue. Three engines responded.

 

On May 3 at 3:54 p.m. the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to a small mulch fire at the Big Y Plaza at #401 Bridgeport Avenue. An engine responded.

 

On May 3 at 8:49 p.m. the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded #90 Kneen Street for an unknown odor in the building. No odor was found after testing by firefighters. An engine and a ladder truck responded.

 

On May 3 at 10:56 p.m. the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Huntington Co. #3 responded to a motor vehicle accident on route 8 southbound between exits 14 and 13. An engine and a rescue truck responded.

 

On May 4 at 6:30 a.m. the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a fire alarm activation at #29 Leavenworth Road. There was no fire. Two units responded.

 

On May 4 at 1:06 p.m. the Huntington Co. #3 responded to wires in the road on Westside Lane near Sunrise Circle. A utility truck responded.

 

On May 4 at 2:05 p.m. the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded to wires down in the road on Jefferson Street. An engine responded.

 

On May 4 at 3:54 p.m. the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to a motor vehicle accident in the area of #515 Bridgeport Avenue. A rescue truck responded.

 

On May 4 at 5:52 p.m. the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to fire in the rear of a house on Longview Road. An engine responded.

 

On May 5 at 00:31 a.m. the Huntington Co. #3 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a motor vehicle accident on Waverly Road near Nichols Avenue. An engine responded.

 

On May 5 at 9:46 p.m. the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to #11 Red Fern Ridge for a fire alarm activation. There was no fire. An engine and a ladder truck responded.

 

On May 5 at 2:24 p.m. the Huntington Co. #3 and the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded to a brush fire on Bridgeport Avenue near the route 8 exit 11 off ramp. Two engines responded.

 

On May 5 at 7:48 p.m. the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to smoke outside the building at #409 Bridgeport Avenue. There was no fire. An engine and a rescue truck responded.

 

On May 6 at 12:05 p.m. the Huntington Co. #3 responded to a motor vehicle accident on Huntington Street near the Common Bond Market. An engine responded.

 

On May 6 at 10:54 p.m. the Echo Hose Co. #1, Pine Rock Co. #4 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a structure fire at #115 Toas Street. Upon arrival firefighters observed fire on the second floor of a two story wood framed single family home. All occupants of the house were safely outside before the arrival of fire units. Firefighters entered the home and had the fire under control within 30 minutes but not before the home sustained extensive fire, smoke and water damage. An investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office determined the origin of the fire was in a second floor bedroom and the cause was from a candle being used in the same room. Three engines, a rescue truck and two ladder trucks responded.
