Girls basketball: Shelton loses opener to Sheehan

Shelton High dropped a 56-37 decision to host Sheehan High in the SCC girls basketball opener for both teams in Wallingford on Tuesday night.

The Gaelettes fell behind 15-6 after one period, before playing the Titans close over the next two quarters.

Leya Vohra and Clarissa Pierre led Shelton with 12 points each.

Liv Robles scored 22 points for Sheehan.
