Police searching for burglary suspect

Shelton police are searching for the individual, pictured above, who allegedly burglarized an office building at 50 Bridge St. in Shelton on Thursday, Jan. 10.

Shelton police are searching for an individual who burglarized an office building at 50 Bridge St. in Shelton on Thursday, Jan. 10.

The man burglarized the building by prying the office door with a screwdriver at 11:30 a.m. while the building was occupied, according to Shelton Police Det. Richard Bango. The man then fled on foot over the Derby Shelton Bridge, where he committed a burglary at a church and a restaurant, added Bango.

The male is also believed to be responsible for a burglary on Jan. 1 in Woodbridge during the day time hours, said Bango.
