Baseball: Shelton blanks Jonathan Law

The Shelton High baseball team shut out Jonathan Law, 4-0, on Monday afternoon in an SCC interdivision matchup.

Ryan Testani threw a complete-game, three-hitter for the Gaels, who improved to 2-2 overall.

Marcello Urisini broke the game open with a two-run triple in the bottom of the fifth inning for Shelton. Ursini also added a double in the first inning, while Tyler Tice singled, walked twice and scored a run.

Rich Dow pitched a complete game for Law (2-2), allowing three earned runs on eight hits. Drew DeRubeis, James Palmer and Dow had the hits for the Lawmen.
