The Shelton Community Lions Club is hosting a Fidelco Guide Dog Presentation on Monday, April 15, from 6-8 p.m. at Center Stage Theatre, 54 Grove Street.
The Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation provides guide dogs for people who are visually impaired. It takes countless hours and years for those dogs selected for this program to graduate.
The benefit of this program is that it helps restore people’s independence and gives them a new outlook on their surroundings and beyond, according to organizers.
See how these animals are trained, what their trainers experience and why this activity is so important. All are welcome, families invited. Free admission; refreshments will be served.
