To help keep students safe after the prom on Saturday, May 11, the Shelton High School Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO) is sponsoring its 12th annual post prom. Volunteers and donations are needed to help this event happen.
This year the post prom will be held at the SportsCenter at 784 River Road.
Who can attend
The post prom is a gift from the PTSO and is free to all eligible students.
The event is open to all juniors and seniors, regardless of whether or not they attend the prom. Underclassmen are admitted only if they accompany a junior or senior to the prom.
Many activities for the students
The post prom runs from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. Students will be able to take part in all the activities offered at the SportsCenter, including ice skating, laser tag, bowling, miniature golf, the driving range, baseball/softball batting cages and sports court.
Students will receive refreshments throughout the event and will be eligible to win raffle and door prizes.
Parent and community support essential
The success of the post prom relies entirely upon the generosity of parents and the community.
