John Zinno of BlumShapiro’s Shelton office served as chairman of the 2012-13 United Way of Greater Waterbury’s annual campaign, which raised more than $3.5 million for the charitable organization.

Zinno recently thanked individuals and companies for their contributions to the agency.

“It is teamwork that makes a United Way campaign a success — with countless volunteer and staff hours invested behind the scenes in order to get the message out and the dollars in,” he said. “The United Way campaign showcases teamwork at its best and what it means to ‘Live United.’”

Zinno is office managing partner at the local office of the accounting, tax and business consulting firm.
