Obituary: Antoni Zasun, 93, of Seymour

Antoni Zasun, 93, of Seymour, peacefully entered into eternal rest on May 6, 2013, at Griffin Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Sophia Solima Zasun, who recently predeceased Antoni on March 12, 2013.

Mr. Zasun was born in Poland on July 17, 1919, son of the late John and Anna Grzywna Zasun.

A resident of Seymour since 1956, he was employed at the Kerite Company in Seymour for 40 years, until his retirement in 1981.

Antoni enjoyed the outdoors, working in his yard, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by a loving son, Anthony Zasun of Seymour, three loving daughters, Christine Szwaba (Zenon) of Naugatuck, Diane Kuzma (Stanley) of Beacon Falls and Julie D’Onofrio (Pat) of Shelton, 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two sisters in Poland.

Visiting will take place on FRIDAY MORNING May 10, 2013, from 8:30 am until 9:30 am in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. At 9:45 am, his funeral will process to St. Joseph’s Church in Ansonia for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Interment will be private in Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia.
