“The June Project” looks at the rise and controversial fall of French economist and former head of the International Monetary Fund, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the inspiration for Depardieu’s character.

According to publicity material, while on set, Ferrara told cast and crew that “it took weeks to fill Anna’s role. She was chosen from millions of girls.”

“It was such an exhilarating experience.,” Lakomy said of performing in the film. “Abel gave us a lot of creative freedom as the two scenes were mostly improvised, and working with Gerard was surreal as I remember watching him in ‘Asterix and Obelix’ when I was a little girl. Everyone on set was so supportive and helpful.”

Born and raised in New York City, Lakomy now resides in both Shelton and Brooklyn. She began to pursue acting professionally slightly more than a year ago.

Since then she has worked on more than 30 independent and student projects, and also directed and starred in her own short film, “Brave Little Soldier,” which is about an elite U.S female soldier coming back from Afghanistan with a dark secret.
