Gov. Dannel P. Malloy directed the U.S. and Connecticut flags to half-staff on Wednesday, May 15, in recognition of Peace Officers Memorial Day.
“National Peace Officers Memorial Day is an opportunity to honor the service of our brave men and women in law enforcement,” said Malloy. “We are deeply appreciative of the work law enforcement does—both to protect and give aid to the citizens of Connecticut, as well as to offer their expertise and talents in our communities. We honor the sacrifices made by these officers, and will always remember those who gave their lives in the line of duty.”
