Shelton’s St. Joseph carnival is May 21-25

The St. Joseph Carnival and Food Fest in Shelton will take place Tuesday, May 21 through Saturday, May 25 on the parish grounds, 430 Coram Ave.

There will be food, games, rides, a raffle and other activities.

Times are Tuesday to Thursday, 6-10 p.m.; and Friday and Saturday, 6-11 p.m. Wristbands will be available to ride all night.

 

Fried dough to fried dough to chili fries

Featured food will include fried dough, barbecue and Italian chicken sandwiches, eggplant and meatball subs, steak sandwiches, grilled kielbasa and sauerkraut, porketta sandwiches, sausage and peppers, liver and bacon, pierogies, chicken nuggets, empanados, chili fries, onion rings, burgers, hot dogs, clam chowder, and wings.

The downtown Shelton church is home to a parochial school that now is accepting applications for pre-kindergarten to eighth grade students for the 2013-14 school year. Learn more at 203-924-4669 or StJosephShelton.org.
