The Shelton Jaycees will hold the 49th annual Arts & Crafts Fair on the Huntington Green in Shelton on Sunday, June 2 from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. The rain date is June 9.
More than 70 exhibitors are expected, covering dozens of categories of arts and crafts. Organizers said the free event, held on the first Sunday in June each year, has become “a community tradition.”
This is a judged show, with prizes awarded to the top artist and top crafter.
Exhibitor space is available and pre-registration costs $69. Contact Kate at 203-623-6698 for details or visit www.sheltonjaycees.org for an application.
A volunteer service organization
The nonprofit Shelton Jaycees, also known as the Junior Chamber, are a group of volunteers from ages 21 to 40 who organize dozens of community events each year. Members can volunteer as much or as little as they like, based on their interest in the event.
Members receive hands-on leadership experience and training, over and above what’s available through employers and other organizations.
In addition to the Arts & Crafts Fair, the Jaycees sponsor a car show at Riverwalk Park and support charities such as the American Cancer Society and Valley Food Bank. Learn more about the organization at www.sheltonjaycees.org.
