Valley Shakespeare Festival cast, crew will march in Memorial Day parade

The Valley Shakespeare Festival will participate in the Derby-Shelton Memorial Day parade on Monday morning.

Shelton-Shakespeare4Members of the cast and crew of the festival will march in the May 27 parade to honor local military veterans.

The nonprofit Valley Shakespeare Festival will present three free performances of Shakespeare’s “Comedy of Errors” in Shelton’s Veteran’s Memorial Park at 8 p.m. on July 18, 19 and 20.

The play will be presented in a Roaring Twenties theme, so look for festival members to be costumed in full “Gatsby” regalia in the parade while dispensing candy and postcards about the upcoming play to the jazzy tunes of Cole Porter.
