Teen charged with damaging SHS fields

An 18-year-old teen was arrested on Friday and charged with damaging the Shelton High School softball and baseball fields.

According to reports, officers received a call just before 10 p.m. on May 24, of a suspicious vehicle at 120 Meadow Street. Eric Howard, 18, of Beardsley Road, was charged with first degree criminal mischief and simple trespass. He was given a promise to appear for court June 7.

The amount of damage to the fields is unknown at this time. We will post more information as it becomes available.
