Plenty of pancakes on the griddle at firefighter breakfast

Hundreds of hungry people turned out on Sunday morning at the White Hills Voluntary Fire Company station in Shelton for an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast. (Photos by Brad Durrell)

The annual breakfast raises money for the department’s firefighting efforts.

The firehouse doors were opened and people ate in an open-air environment while being served by White Hills Fire Company members.

Among the guests eating pancakes were, from left, Tristain Miller, 16; Curt Wickett and Tristain’s mom, Rose Miller. Wickett lives near the White Hills fire station and once was aided by firefighters during a fire incident at his house.
