Summer reading programs with the Shelton libraries

This summer the Shelton libraries are holding reading clubs for all ages.

Fill-out a duck marker for your child and get your Rubber Ducky Club Log. After completing six educational activities with your child — bring the activity log into Plumb to collect your Rubber Duck prize. Complete six more educational activities, color in six ducks in July — bring log into Plumb for a board book and then by Thursday, Aug. 29, complete the last six educational activities and color in the last six ducks, bring log into Plumb for a Rubber Ducky Club Certificate. Complete all 18 and receive a ticket for a special prize drawing.

Paranormal Possibilities

Teens 13-18 explore the paranormal through movies, books and programs. Read three books and report, receive an invitation to the Masquerade Ball in August.

Reporting options include: telling a staff member, connecting on Facebook (facebook.com/teensatplumb); giving a Tweet (@teensatplumb) or Instagram (#teensatplumb) with a picture of you holding the book and hashtag a comment on the book.

Reports still win a candy bar or Plumb Buck for each day that you submit a report (in person or online), plus every time you use your library card to check out anything you are entered into a weekly drawing for prizes from local businesses.
