Get rid of unwanted meds at Shelton location

Shelton residents can safely dispose of outdated, unused or unwanted prescription drugs at the local police station.

The Greater Valley Abuse Action Council, in collaboration with area police departments, has launched an initiative to help residents safely dispose of unused and unneeded medications.

A secure drop box for expired and unused prescription medications is in the lobby of the Shelton Police Department, 85 Wheeler St.

Residents may walk in and discard their medication in the secure drop box at anytime, no questions asked. Syringes will not be accepted.
