Scout collecting first aid supplies to help Spooner House

Andrew Miller, a Life Scout in Troop 27, is looking for donations of medical supplies to help people in need.

Andrew needs items to build 100 first aid kits, to be distributed to the homeless through Spooner House, the Valley’s homeless shelter. Materials needed are antibiotic ointment tubes, tweezers, small hand sanitizer bottles, 2×2 inch gauze pads and gauze rolls.

“I’m in the final stages of my project and just need these supplies to finish,” Andrew said in an email.

There is a donation drop-off box at Lifetime Eyecare, 28 Huntington Plaza. Business hours are Monday, Tuesday, Friday 9-5 p.m.; Wednesday and Saturday 9-noon; Thursday, 9-7 p.m. Last collection pick up will be July 31. Information: [email protected]
