Toddler Movement — Wednesday, July 31, 11 a.m. Songs, dance, action poems and musical instruments for preschoolers 2-4 and caregivers.

 

Creative Juices — Wednesday July 31, 2 p.m. Kids in grades 2-6 work in teams to puzzle out a solution to escape make-believe villain, mad Dr. Bookworm, using their ingenuity and recyclable items (2-3 each) brought from home as tools.

 

Storytime for 3s & 4s — Thursdays, Aug. 1 and 8, 11 a.m. Three and four year olds hear stories.

 

First Friday Book Discussion — Friday, Aug. 2, 1 p.m. Self-led group for adults, multiple copies available.

 

Baby Rhyme Time — Tuesdays, Aug. 6 and 13, 11 a.m. Infants and non-walkers discover nursery rhymes and action songs with their caregivers; followed by open play time.

 

Shelton Reading Circle — Tuesday, Aug. 6, 7 p.m. Shelton Historical Society book discussion group led by Ellen Kolesk; multiple copies of this month’s titles available.

 

Teddy Bear Picnic — Wednesday, Aug. 7, 10:30 a.m. Children up to age 7 and caregivers are welcome to drop in for this annual event featuring stories, carnival-like games and refreshments. Bring along a teddy bear.

 

As I See It — Wednesday, Aug. 14, 1 p.m. Friends of the Shelton Libraries offer a film viewing and discussion over desserts; new members and opinions welcome.
