A portion of Florence Drive is undergoing some work. Paving is happening on a 200-foot stretch of road, according to residents of the area.
It was “the worst section that had to be patched before anything else could be done” to the road, said Ray Chrzanowski, assistant superintendent of highways and bridges.
He said there has been talk about resurfacing Florence Drive — which runs between Ripton and Walnut Tree Hill roads — but, he was unsure of when it will happen.
Chrzanowski said that before roads can be resurfaced or fixed, the worst part has to be dug out and patched.
“I know that something is probably going to be done to make the road more consistent,” he said.
“We can’t repave and reconstruct every road in town because of the expense.”
