Huntington library holds special sessions for the community

Teddy Bear Picnic — Wednesday, Aug. 7, 10:30 a.m. Children up to age 7 and caregivers are welcome to drop in for this annual event featuring stories, carnival-like games and refreshments. Bring along a teddy bear.

 

Storytime for 3s & 4s — Thursdays, Aug. 8 and 15, 11 a.m. Three and four year olds hear stories.

 

Baby Rhyme Time — Tuesdays, Aug. 13 and 20, 11 a.m. Infants and non-walkers discover nursery rhymes and action songs with their caregivers; followed by open play time.

 

Toddler Movement — Wednesdays, Aug. 13 and 20, 11 a.m. Songs, dance, action poems and musical instruments for preschoolers 2-4 and caregivers.

 

As I See It — Wednesday, Aug. 14, 1 p.m. Friends of the Shelton Libraries offer a film viewing and discussion over desserts; new members and opinions welcome.

 

Weird Science: The Party — Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2 p.m. Everyone who participated in the Kids Summer Reading Program is invited for the fun provided by the CT Science Center featuring bubbles, dry ice and more.

 

Teen Summer Reading Club Party — Wednesday, Aug. 14, 6 p.m. Guest cartoonist Judy Tourangeau creates caricatures of program participants, then teens relax with food, door prizes and party gifts.
