The girls are raising money for a team at the CANtastic Construction Competition on Sept. 29 in Shelton, a Harvest House event that helps supply Valley food banks.

The Thursday concert featured the 15-piece Little Big Band, specializing in swing and Big Band music. It had been rescheduled from Wednesday due to the threat of inclement weather on that night.

The performance was the last in this summer’s Music Under the Stars outdoor concert series on the Green, sponsored by the Shelton Parks and Recreation Department.
