Motorcycle passenger dies from injuries received in weekend crash

Shelton Police have reported that Ramona Seeley, 54, of Orange has died. She was the passenger on the motorcycle involved in a crash over the weekend.

The accident was reported on Saturday, Sept. 7, at about 9 p.m., when police, fire and EMS were called to the intersection of River Road and Murphy’s Lane.

The initial investigation by police revealed that a motorcycle with a passenger was traveling south on River Road when it collided with a Dodge minivan that was traveling onto River Road from Murphy’s Lane.

The driver of the motorcycle, Samuel Seeley, 55, of Orange was taken to the hospital with serious non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Dodge, Megan Kalanick, 22, of Shelton, did not report being injured.

No enforcement action at this time

The Shelton Police Traffic Division is currently investigating this accident. No enforcement action has been taken at this time.
