The fourth annual Shelton Wheel-Walk to Work will take place Saturday, Sept. 14 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Shelton’s Veterans Memorial Park (the Riverwalk).
The event will include health screenings, a jobs fair, live music, food and children’s activities. Adults can learn about employment support services and social services and youngsters can participate in arts, crafts and face painting.
Proceeds will benefit Moving With Hope, a Shelton-based nonprofit organization that helps to provide year-round access to independent living skills training and nutrition education programs to individuals with disabilities and their families.
Admission is free but people can pay a registration fee to support Moving With Hope. Display booths are available for nonprofit and for-profit entities. Learn more at wheelwalktowork.org.
