Junior League plans opens houses to attract new members

The Junior League of Eastern Fairfield County, which serves Shelton, is looking for a few good women.

The volunteer and leadership organization will hold new member open houses on:

— Saturday, Sept. 21 from 9–11 a.m. at Las Vetas Lounge (27 Unquowa Road, Fairfield)

— Wednesday, Sept. 25 from 7–9 p.m. at the Spotted Horse (26 Church Lane, Westport)

Interested women can learn more about the local Junior League and meet members while enjoying light refreshments at an open house.

 

Junior League and the community

The nonprofit Junior League is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

Communities represented by the Eastern Fairfield County chapter include Shelton, Bridgeport, Easton, Fairfield, Monroe, Newtown, Redding, Stratford, Trumbull, Weston and Westport.
