Library Lego Club — Saturday, Oct. 5, 2 p.m. Kids 3-12, drop-in and create original constructions using LEGOs/ Duplos provided by the library. Each child’s creation goes on display until the next club meeting. Library Legos/ Duplos do not go home and no personal Legos/Duplos.
Teen Movie Critics — Saturday, Oct. 5, 3 p.m., ages 13-19 drop in to watch and critique movies of all ages and genres. A small dinner provided.
Budding Bookworms — Monday, Oct. 7, 10:30 a.m. A themed drop in story and craft time for kids 1-5 years old and their caregivers.
Reading Detectives — Monday, Oct. 7, 6 p.m., children in grades K-4 join school librarian Miss Kathi sharing the educational weekly themes for story and discussion, plus make-and-take projects to reinforce reading skills taught and tested for in school every day: Sequencing, predicting, contrast and comparison, character traits, setting, inference, personal connections. Fun for Little Ones — Tuesdays, Oct. 8 and 15, 10 a.m. Mrs. Fritsch offers stories, songs and movement for babies and toddlers up to age 2 in this engaging and entertaining drop-in program; siblings welcome.

1000 Books Before K — Family reading program – information and supplies all provided at sign-up. To encourage families to read together, with the help of the Shelton School Readiness Council and Friends of the Shelton Libraries the Plumb Library is offering support for tracking all 1000 books plus rewards and prizes along the way. Funding from the Valley Community Foundation supports this new adventure.
On display — Miniature porcelain boxes: Limoges works of art in painted porcelain plus china imitations of the antiques from a local collector; Roseville, McCoy – pottery, real thing or lookalikes?
Home Delivery — Shelton residents who cannot get to the library due to temporary or permanent disability are welcome to apply for home delivery of library materials.
