Gaels' offense hammers Amity

The Shelton High football team posted a 49-30 victory over hosts Amity High in an SCC Division I West matchup at Bill Johnson Field in Woodbridge on Friday night.

Quarterback Mark Piccirillo threw two touchdown passes to Kyle Drost, one to Kevin Robinson, and rushed for two scores to lead the Gaels, who improved to 3-0.

Tailback Jason Thompson added a pair of rushing touchdowns for Shelton, which led 27-10 at the half.

Amity fell to 2-1.
