TEAM Inc.’s 48th annual meeting will take place Wednesday, Oct. 9 at noon at Grassy Hill Lodge, 77 Sodom Lane, Derby. Speakers will include Chaz from the “Chaz and AJ in the Morning” radio show, and former TEAM participants.
During the meeting, the nonprofit anti-poverty organization for the Valley and nearby towns will present awards to the following community leaders:
— The Chairman’s Award will go to Polly O’Brien Morrow, representing Pitney Bowes Community Investments, for the recent sponsorship of the Computer Tots program that reached more than 220 local children.
— Partnership Awards will be presented to C. Elspeth Lyndon of Plumb Memorial Library and Huntington Branch Library in Shelton, and Ian Parsells of Derby Neck Library, for their ongoing support and participation in VITA (Volunteers Income Tax Assistance) Valley tax preparation program.
A Partnership Award also will be presented to Naomi Hayner, representing Healthy Eyes Alliance, for the annual eye clinics donated to families of TEAM’s Early Education Center.
— The Heritage Award will be given to Ernestine Luise to honor her years of service to TEAM.
