A tranquil setting in Shelton

October 1, 2013 by Shelton Herald

Shelton-MeansBrookReservoir

The Means Brook Reservoir off Saw Mill Road offers a view of rural Shelton. The 18-acre body of water is owned by Aquarion Water Co. and has a 527-feet-long concrete dam.

Built in 1917, it is used as a storage reservoir for the Trap Falls Watershed distribution system.
