Huntington church begins free lecture series for public

The dean of the Yale Divinity School will begin this year’s lecture series at Huntington United Methodist Church, 338 Walnut Tree Hill Road. Gregory Sterling will speak Sunday, Oct. 6 at 6 p.m.

The lectures, which continue every Sunday in October at the same time, are free and open to the public. Speakers will be professors from Yale University and Fairfield University.

A question-and-answer period and light reception will follow each lecture.

The goal of the talks is to unite important scholarly reflection with applicable insights for people who are seeking to live a thoughtful faith, according to publicity material.
