Valley Shakespeare Festival plans Halloween fund-raiser

Valley Shakespeare Festival will have an All Hallow’s Eve fundraiser Thursday, Oct. 24 from 5-9 p.m. at Twisted Vine Restaurant, 285 Main St., Derby.

Costumes or creative attire is encouraged, with prizes to be awarded. People can dress as their favorite literary character.

A buffet dinner of chicken, pasta, salad, bread and dessert will be served from 5-7:30 (cash bar). There will be musical skits and dramatic readings from 7:30-8:30, followed by a costume contest at 8:30.

Admission is $15 per person. Go to vsfestival.org to purchase tickets.

The nonprofit Valley Shakespeare Festival presents outdoor performances of a Shakespeare play with a modern twist during the summer.
