Shelton Day highlights hometown pride

People of all ages walk up and down Howe Avenue during the event.


Hundreds of people strolled Howe Avenue in Shelton on Sunday to eat, shop, be entertained, become informed, and mingle with family and friends.

While the sometimes-damp weather may have held down the crowd at times, a steady stream of visitors made their way downtown for Shelton Day.

The annual street festival, organized by the Derby/Shelton Rotary Club, featured about 150 booths with food, crafts, interactive activities, businesses, and community information.

Local bands as well as the Shelton High School marching band provided live entertainment.
