Boy Scout Troop 55 Members in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Boy Scout Troop 55 of Shelton held a Court of Honor on Sept. 25 to award Scouting rank advancements and merit badges.

Ten scouts achieved rank advancements as follows: Scout, Joshua Hunter; Tenderfoot, Robert Ciccone, Spenser Hatfield, Joshua Hunter, Anish Rajamanickam, Garret Ziperstein; Second Class, Jordan McCarty, Garrett Ziperstien; Star, Lucas Davis, Brandon Murphy; Life, Stephen Casinelli; and Eagle Palms. Gabriel Brown.

One hundred Merit badges were earned by members of the troop since the last Court of Honor in the spring. The troop’s trip to Colorado during the summer enabled scouts to earn their Climbing Merit Badge. Scouts also earned multiple badges while camping at the Housatonic Boy Scout Council Camp in Goshen.

One Scout, Ian Boath, earned 20 Merit badges. Other scouts earning badges include: Cameron Amato, James Amato, Ryan Amato, Ian Badolato, Gabriel Brown, Michael Casinelli, Stephen Casinelli, Robert Ciccone, Cole French, Zachary Griffith, Spenser Hatfield, Dan Heiden, Elias Hoponick, David Leandres, Jimmy Maher, Jordan McCarty, Colin McNamara, Brandon Murphy, Gavin Newell, Keith Prior, Anish Rajamanickam, John Rosa, Matt Simon, Garret Ziperstein and Jacob Zuklie.

Boy Scout Troop 55, which is sponsored by Huntington United Methodist Church, has members from Shelton, Ansonia and Derby.
