Hoptoberfest: Beer and chicken wings on tap at Shelton's Riverwalk

The Derby/Shelton Rotary Club will sponsor a craft beer and chicken wing festival Saturday, Oct. 26 from 1-5 p.m. at the Shelton Riverwalk’s Rotary Pavilion.

Shelton-RotaryHoptoberfestHoptoberfest will feature more than 50 craft beers and a chicken wing competition for the Best Wing in the Valley. The winner of the contest for local restaurants will be named “The King of the Wing.”

There also will be live music. The Riverwalk (Veterans Memorial Park) is on Canal Street in downtown Shelton.

 

Will support Rotary service projects

The event will raise funds for the local Rotary Club’s many service projects that benefit the community, including scholarships, a literary program and downtown beautification efforts.

Cost of admission is $25 for beer and wings, and $15 for wings only. The wing contest will take place from 1-3 p.m. People must be age 21 or older to attend.
