Obituary: Peter Chuka, 67, brother of Shelton resident

OBT-ChukaPeter J. Chuka, Sr., age 67 of Trumbull, formerly of Bridgeport, died on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center. The beloved husband of Diane Pester Chuka, he was the son of Margaret Alfano Chuka and the late Stephen P. Chuka Sr.

A retired maintenance electrician, formerly employed at The Bridgeport Brass Co. and Handy & Harman, he was a life long member of the Knights of Columbus, and a former coach and manager for the North End Little League. He was a caring husband, father and grandfather who had nothing but love and devotion for his family. He will be deeply missed by all.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Diane, his mother Margaret, and two sons Peter J Chuka, Jr. and his wife Wendy and Daniel Chuka and his wife Deanna, all of Trumbull. He was the world’s best “Pop-pop” to Daniella and Dominick. He is also survived by two brothers Jack Chuka, Sr. and his wife Ann of Huntington and Stephen P. Chuka, Jr. and his wife Bonnie of Derby. He will be missed by his niece Amy Reilly and her husband Paul, and his godson Jack Chuka, Jr. and his wife Susana, as well as his sister-in-law Judy Pester, and many cousins. He was predeceased by his father Stephen and his nephew John Pester-Constance. In honor of his wishes, there will be no services.
