A fund-raiser is being held to benefit the Corbesato family as they continue to pay for their girls’ medical bills. The two girls have been battling an illness since they were born.
Ava and Isabella Corbesato of Shelton have hypoplastic left heart syndrome, a congenital illness where the left side of the heart does not develop completely. Due to the syndrome, the girls have had multiple surgeries to encourage a healthy heart.
Although they have medical insurance, countless co-payments, ventures out of and across the state for surgeries, and more have mounted up, and the community is coming to support the Shelton residents.
