Parents can learn how to help their child choose, get accepted to, and pay for his or her dream college with a presentation by College Advisors of Connecticut at Huntington Branch Library, Saturday, Oct. 26 at 10:30 a.m.
Two major topics include academic preparation and financial implications of college planning.
The emphasis of these seminars is not only on reducing the cost of college, but also the time in the search and application process. Handouts will be provided, but participants should bring a pen and pad for note-taking.
Program repeats on Saturday, Nov. 2. It is designed for parents of high school seniors.
To attend, contact Tony Luther at 203-929-3593. The branch library is at 41 Church St., Shelton (on the Huntington Green).
