Admission included food and live music by the Straight Jackets, a band from western Connecticut. There also were raffles, door prizes and a cash bar. Many players’ parents and other adult friends of the team attended.

Shelton soccer moms, from left, Pam Stoll, Cindy Stanley, Bonnie Filakovsky, Christine Manzo and Cindy Brouillette had plenty of stories to share during the event.

Proceeds will be used to pay for scholarships and miscellaneous costs related to team activities. More than $1,000 was raised at the event, organizers said.
