Bargains and history at Shelton tag sale

The Shelton Historical Society was formed in 1971 and includes buildings and artifacts that offer insight into the city’s past. It operates a museum with collections at 70 Ripton Road, not far from the Huntington Green.

Below, Mary Lou Tarasovic holds up wooden sock forms she was selling at the tag sale. The forms were from the old Read’s Department Store in downtown Bridgeport. Tarasovic got involved in the tag sale through a friend who is active with SHS.
